All Lubbock public libraries will be closed for the holidays

All Lubbock Public Library locations will be closed from Friday December 24 to Monday December 27; and Friday December 31 and Saturday January 1. Normal opening hours for all locations will resume on Tuesday, December 28; and Monday January 3. Even when our doors are closed, our digital collection is still available on Libby, the one-click reading app! Now, with our new instant e-book card, you can instantly access our Libby collection without a standard Lubbock public library card. Simply download Libby from your app store or visit www.libbyapp.com and register with your phone number!

Mahon Library Vacation Photo Booths

Capture your vacation memories using our free self-service photo booth at the Mahon Library, 1306 9th Street. We have set up several photo backgrounds and also provide tripods, lights and bluetooth remotes for free! For more information, call 806-775-2835.

New Year’s Eve at the Mahon library – Thursday December 30 11:30 am

Staying awake until midnight can be difficult for kids, so why not celebrate New Years at noon? The festivities will start at 11:30 am with crafts and games before the countdown until noon! When noon strikes, we can celebrate together with glow sticks, balloons and more! This is a free family event and registration is not required.
