Bike ride to raise funds for scholarships
The Cody Allen Trim Scholarship Bike Ride fundraiser will take place on July 31 at the New Kensington Eagles, 2134 Freeport Road.
Registration will be at 11 a.m. and kick-off will be at noon. The cost is $15 per passenger and $10 per passenger. There will be food, drinks, a cash bar, a corn hole tournament, a silent auction and a balloon release.
Proceeds benefit scholarships awarded annually to area senior graduates.
Volunteers wanted at Allegheny Valley Hospital
Allegheny Valley Hospital, Harrison is seeking volunteers for its Surgical Service Unit Reception Team.
Volunteers will greet patients and their families upon arrival and serve as a communication link between them and the surgeons and nursing staff. A minimum of four hours per week is required and volunteers must be at least 18 years old.
Drag queen bingo to help a cancer patient
A drag queen bingo to benefit cancer patient Kevin Coudriet will be held at 4 p.m. on August 6 at the Brackenridge American Legion, 845 First Ave.
Doors will open at 2 p.m. The cost is $35 and includes food. Additional packages and daubers will be sold and there will be cash bar, refreshments, small games of chance, silent auction and 50/50.
