LAKE COUNTY, Florida. – The Florida Department of Health in Lake County is hosting several free COVID-19 vaccination events on school campuses next week, according to Lake County Public Schools.

School district employees, eligible students ages 5 and older, and other members of the community are encouraged to get the Pfizer vaccine from November 15 to 18 in cafeterias at select schools.

The second dose will be available for those participating in these vaccination events from December 6 to 9.

Pfizer booster injections will also be available for eligible participants who have completed their initial series at least six months previously.

People aged 65 and over, residents of long-term care facilities, and those aged 18 to 64 with underlying health conditions or at increased risk in their work all fall into this category.

Participants must bring identification and parents or legal guardians must accompany anyone under the age of 18 getting vaccinated. Reservations are not required.

Grassy Lake Elementary School, 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Wednesday November 17th
