The library seeks to know how to better serve the community

The Raymond Village Library is conducting a brief survey to identify areas where the city would like to improve its mission and focus on the community. Your voice counts during this important time for collecting feedback. Take the five-minute online survey on the library’s website and let the library know what it is doing well, where it could improve, and how it could expand its services.

Group of writers

The Lakes Region Writers Guild meets every other Friday during the summer. Come and enjoy the camaraderie of listening to the works of other writers (and their challenges) while sharing your own if and as you like. Writing exercises are offered if time permits, as well as resource sharing for aspiring writers.

This summer’s series was directed by Leah Stetson, a talented writer with a passion for gothic romance and longtime LRWG member. Stetson’s work “My Glacial Erratic” received an honorable mention in Fish Anthology 2020, from Co. Cork, Ireland, as well as a compliment from the American poet laureate (2001-2003) Billy Collins, who distinguished the poem as being “very imaginative and engaging. Donations of $ 3 per meeting are appreciated.
