HR Terre Haute LLC’s license application was one of four submitted to the Indiana Gaming Commission (IGC) before Wednesday’s deadline.

The other candidates are: CDITH LLC (Churchill Downs); FHR ‐ Atlas LLC (Full House Resorts Inc.); and Terre Haute Entertainment LLC (Premier Gaming Group and Terre Haute Entertainment Holdings LLC).

Giovanni Taliaferro, director of memorabilia design for Hard Rock International, hosted a musical memorabilia tour of the Jackson family on Wednesday.

Greg Small, Executive Director of IGC, said he was very pleased with the interest in the Vigo County Casino License and looks forward to a competitive selection process.

“Work to assess these proposals begins immediately, with the goal of setting a committee meeting date for formal action before the end of the year,” Small said.

Hard Rock may be one step ahead of the competition as it already has a plan to build and operate a Terre Haute “Rocksino” developed in association with former licensee Lucy Luck Gaming .

Terre Haute was granted a state gaming license by the 2019 General Assembly as part of a plan to consolidate Gary’s two gaming licenses into one and allow Gary Casino to relocate from Lake Michigan to a land site adjacent to Highway 80-94. at the Burr Street exit.
