Dazn continues to shape the direction of its new sports betting service, Dazn Bet, with Gemma Burge named Head of Safer Gambling.

Burge, who joins future Dazn Bet from William Hill, spent almost three years with his former employer. She held a similar role at William Hill, heading the firm’s Safer Gambling Policy, Strategy and Risk department.

Prior to William Hill, Burge spent a similar time at Sky Bet, taking on several roles within the company’s risk insurance department.

Commenting on his new role, Burge commented, “I am absolutely thrilled to share that I am starting a new role as Head of Safer Gambling at Dazn Bet. I am truly excited to be working for this amazing brand as it kicks off his new venture, creating a gaming experience that will promote safe play and customer well-being. Dazn Bet, which will launch this summer with technical support from Pragmatic Play, will be headquartered in Gibraltar.

Dazn plans to launch its new sportsbook service in time for the start of the next 2022/23 football season, which will be the last weekend of July for the English Football League and the first weekend of August. for the Premier League.

Burge is the latest in a series of new appointments made by the young company.

Mark Kemp has been installed as the new CEO of Dazn Bet, having served as CEO of BoyleSports and Managing Director of Tote UK.

Additionally, former Amazon and Entain executives Sandeep Tiku and Ian Turnbull have been named chief technology officer and executive vice president of betting, respectively.
