(ABC4) – With COVID-19 restrictions easing and vaccination rates continuing to rise, many are resuming activities that have not been done since early 2020. This includes returning to theaters .

As you walk into a movie on the big screen, three large movie theaters simplify their masking requirements.

If you are going to a Regal Theater, you will not be required to wear a mask unless required by national and local guidelines, according to the Company Website. If you are in an area where masks are needed, they can only be removed when you eat and drink while sitting in an auditorium.

Fully immunized guests will not need to wear a mask in AMC theaters. If you are not fully vaccinated, AMC asks you to continue to wear a mask throughout the theater, unless you are actively eating or drinking.

Like Regal, AMC limits auditorium capacities in accordance with national and local guidelines. Social distancing is always encouraged.

At all Cinemark theaters, masks are optional for fully vaccinated guests, the the company says online. Masks are encouraged for all other guests, but can be removed while eating and drinking while seated.
